Here we are! It’s the end of what seem to be at the beginning very long journey!

When we start anything that we know will take a long time, it often seems that the end is not within our reach. We work hard and we get closer each day and eventually we begin to see that we are capable of more than we thought when we started. I have never worked through a fitness program this intense for this long. I began my health and fitness journey to slim down and tone up with 30 minute workouts for a total of 21 days at a time. I was thrilled with the success I had. I learned a lot about myself, food, and my overall abilities when it came to strength and commitment to finishing.

This 80 day program was a totally new experience! The food, using a system called timed nutrition, had me totally afraid at first. I wasn’t thrilled about changing the system that I ha been using for two or more years and was totally working for me. But, you know what? When I really thought about it -> it wasn’t actually working that great anymore. I had grown so comfortable with the system and knew where I could take advantage of it with cheats and treats. Quite honestly, I was “gaming the system” as a I had done with many systems before.

As it turns out, my body was ready for something new. My recaps of Phase I and Phase II tell about the beginning of the program and Phase III of 80 Day Obesssion brought new workouts, and a chance for me to revise my food plan to really get the results. I had learned so much that I knew what I was doing right and what I was doing not so right. At the end of phase III, there was a special week, called PEAK WEEK, where we were able to modify the food plan a little bit more to really bring out the best in our results. 80 Day Obsession Nutrition

During Phase III, I ate on two different meal plans – one in maintenance  meal plan and one a weight-loss meal plan. Both worked just as described! It’s science, my friends!  Here are a couple of my meal plans from Phase III. You will see that for the first two weeks of Phase III I followed Plan C, which for me was a maintenance meal plan. Then I switched to Plan B – the weight loss meal plan mainly because I wanted to see a drop on the scale. Dropping to Plan B along with PEAK WEEK really gave me the optimal results you see above.
