It’s time for a 21 DAY FIX EXTREME UPDATE!
After a whole year of experimenting with different Beachbody programs, I decided to revisit the 21 Day Fix Extreme for another round with Autumn Calabrese.
I am super glad that I did! I can’t say I was surprised that the workouts were still challenging and sweat inducing, even though I have done Piyo, Hammer and Chisel, 22 Minute Hard-Corps, and now I’m starting Insanity Max 30.
Workouts and Nutrition
My goal with this round was not really to lose a lot of pounds but to eat well, do the workouts and see what effect it had on my body.
Week 1 – I can tell you that I did all 21 days of the workouts and my first week of eating was on point.
Week 2 – My second week was not quite as good with nutrition but my water and workouts were excellent.
Week 3 – In the third week I was back to really keeping up with my nutrition and in the end I was able to drop 2 pounds and a couple of inches.
I’m at the point where I am mostly maintaining and now just continuing to work at reshaping my body. I can tell in my case in particular– the THIGHS!!! Always a trouble spot – and I can tell you that the shape of my upper leg is way DIFFERENT. The outside area that always had a BULGE is decreasing and while I am not looking to get a thigh gap, I am happy to say that the extra fat in the back of my legs is also decreasing. I cannot say enough about this AMAZING program! There’s the regular 21 Day Fix and the 21 Day Fix Extreme – honestly both programs can work for anybody because there is a modifier you can always follow and work up from as you get better over time. And by BETTER, I mean stronger and with more endurance.
Tracking
For this round I decided to track all my moves, reps and weights for each of the workouts and I created tracking sheets which are linked below. Feel FREE TO DOWNLOAD these – you can modify them or print them out and use them as is and pencil in your details. The reason I decided to do this is because even though the exercises are only a minute I know there are times where I would start late or WIMP OUT EARLY! By tracking my reps I was able to hold myself accountable to getting the same amount of reps or more each time. I posted some of my favorite and not so favorite moves below and I’ll be hosting short workout video clips over at the Feel Great Now page. I’ll be hosting a couple of challenge groups in June – that way people can use the 21 day fix to get started on healthy habits this summer and make progress toward their goals before summer really gets going!.
Exciting!
It’s pretty exciting that this month the challenge packs are on special – it’s nearly like getting the workout program and nutrition plan for free with a month supply of Shakeology. The challenge group is a key component to SUCCESS where you receive daily motivation, support and encouragement to keep going! Because isn’t that the hardest part sometimes? Staying motivated?! Well, together, we got this! Fill out the challenge group form and I’ll be in touch to help you chart a path to your goals!
