Wrapped up week 3 of 22 Minute Hard Corps this weekend and am looking forward to week 4. I can almost do 3 chin ups! I know they’re not perfect, but I am definitely getting up there! The movement can be seen with the naked eye now! lol
This week didn’t introduce any new workouts, except I did give the Special Ops Core workout a go on Saturday. WOW! I didn’t even attempt the Sidewinders because I was on carpet and didn’t think there was even a chance I would get moving without a rug burn!! I also discovered the 12 minute cold start and will use this as a warm up on mornings when I have the time. Getting a good workout in in 22 minutes sacrifices the warm up I had become used to in Hammer and Chisel, so I am happy to have found the cold start. Better late than never!
Workouts
Meals
I have been getting some meals from Blue Apron and enjoyed the salmon with freekah, kale and almond salad. The Blue Apron meals are all fresh ingredients and match up really well with the program meal plan. Only the ones that are more “bready” have to be watched, so I don’t go over my yellow containers.
Also I had taken out some chicken, but had no real plan for what to do with it. I took a tip from a previous blue apron meal and cooked the chicken with salt and pepper in some olive oil and it’s really good. And really EASY!.
Here are the week 3 workouts:
For the coming week, I had it easy for the meal planning because I am set to do the 3 day refresh on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. You’re not supposed to do much working out during the refresh, so I’m going to take it easy.
Week 4 has two new programs and also two optional Special Ops replacements that I haven’t done yet. We’ll see how this goes! Also, the midway fit test is coming up. I am thinking that I’m stronger, but we’ll see for sure soon!
