Week four was a bit of a challenge! 😬
Traveling to visit family and the new year holiday were two big events that came up during week four. I felt good about my exercising – I was able to follow the daily program over the break even while I was away and over the holiday. Thankful that my mom’s step stool was a good stand in for a bench for Chisel Balance 😉
I continue to grow stronger in my upper body and love the changes to the shape of my upper legs. I am still working on the abs. My stomach is tighter underneath when I touch it but I definitely know that when I eat too much sugar it all goes right to the belly area. Here are the week 4 workouts:Â
Chisel Balance may seem easy by the title, but it’s TOUGH! Â Even after 60 days of PiYo, I really have to work at this one. The Chisel Cardio is not bad for a cardio workout. I love the grapevine and side shuffle move. I laugh out loud at myself! The Chisel Agility also had me questioning how well my brain works since you have to wait for Autumn’s directions for a lot of the moves.
I managed to squeeze in the 3 Day Refresh between Christmas and New Year’s eve. That helped me stay on track when there were TONS of opportunities to get my snack on and to recover from overdoing it with the Christmas cookies.
I tried a new recipe or two from the refresh booklet, and will add these into my side dishes for my regular meal plan. The coconut steamed veggies were tender crisp and flavorful.
Here’s a look ahead at my week five meal plan. I’ll be away at a Beachbody event over the weekend so I’ll have to play it by ear a little bit. I know I’ll have my Shakeology along with the Magic Bullet!
I tried to get in some extra ab exercises to combat the indulgences of the holidays. I definitely have a sugar addiction and once I get started it is hard for me to stop!
Which is why I have a renewed commitment to my nutrition – I will stay out of the kitchen in the evening, which has been my worst time for snacking. When I feel the snacking urge, I’m just going to go to bed!
