I survived! Actually, I feel great after the first week of Hammer and Chisel. I’m not near a Master, but my confidence and determination are totally there. I am thankful to have been doing the 21 Day Fix Extreme because I feel physically prepared and also already had a handle on the containers and meal planning.
For the first week I had a long list of food items to prepare, but I didn’t get to them all because I didn’t want to waste food since the others in my household aren’t participating! I think I was just so excited at the new recipes in the H&C meal guide that I wanted to try them all right away!
Here’s a look at the meal plan I had brainstormed.
I really liked the egg and vegetable frittata with the Gomasio topping and I totally LOVED the Tuna Salad with Artichokes and Olives. I put my lettuce leaf inside a whole wheat tortilla to make a wrap. The best thing about the tuna salad is that you get 1 1/2 cups for a serving and that is more than enough to fill you up!
Here are the pics from the daily workouts. They are definitely challenging, but doable. I was intimidated by Sagi, but there is nothing to be afraid of. His workouts are manageable and he is quite humorous. So far my favorite was Strength Chisel! Total butt burn!!
I have my food list ready for week 2 and I even have the majority of the ingredients from last week’s shopping spree. It was pretty easy since it’s all the stuff I didn’t make in week 1. I’ll be making:
- Almond Crusted Chicken
- Mixed Veggie Soup
- Smoked Salmon & Poached Egg
- Turkey Chili
- Buffalo Chicken in WW Tortilla
Just a reminder that there will be a January challenge group for anyone looking to “BE A MASTER”!! I included the challenge group application below. Filling it out doesn’t commit you to the challenge:) It just means I’ll be in touch with more details!
